How did you find the SOS?

Through a guildie on AoW

What are you looking for in a guild?

  • Friendship

  • Fun

What are you expecting from us, as a guild?

Same as above

Anything we should know about you?

Nothing really. I teach and play Mahjong and host Mahjong parties (the real game, not computer solitaire), teach and learn Chinese martial arts, am a CoHost on Hiyaa Martial Arts podcast, have a 3 year old daughter, enjoy reading etc.

Anything you would like to know about us?

Read a few of the shrub docs and although I didn't see the hekki explanation am guessing it's Hello mistyped, due to their keyboard proximity.

Also, what does this involve aside from in-game guild activities?

A window of your home has just been broken. How do you respond?

Apply a healing potion to fix the pane [misspelling intentional]

A man in green asks you to go on a journey. Where do you go and what do you do?

I go to the green room, take the green and puff the green.

The Lion King is hosting an animal conference. All the animals attend, except one. Which animal does not attend?

The rat. That's me (in Chinese astrology). But I am also the Lion King (Leo in Western astrology). So I can't be in two places at one time. That is unless I get to multi-threaded instances of physical objects; namely myself.

You find a barrel in a river. What is inside it and why

Whatever it is, I am tossing it out and hopping into the barrel. Wee what fun.

You are shrunk to the size of a nickel and thrown into an empty blender. The blades start moving in 60 seconds. What do you do?

Be the blade.

LOL....I think you're the first guy that ever wanted to keep riding the barrel!

Hekki and welcome Northwind! You are also the first person to EVER correctly surmise where "hekki" came from. (A guildie during our SWG days mistyped hello, and it just sort of stuck as the official Shrub greeting.)

As for Servants of the Shrub, we are actually more of an online community. Our core guildies have played a bunch of games together, including Star Wars Galaxies, WoW, Star Wars: The Old Republic, The Secret World, Guild Wars 2 and (more recently) Minecraft, AoW and The War Z. We hang out here on the forums a lot while working, and then on vent and in-game after. :) The nice part is, it doesn't matter what game you're playing, you're always welcome to hang out and socialize with everyone here and on vent! We're not a huge guild/community, but the people we have are pretty tight-knit and we love to bring in new Shrubbites to the fold!

Welcome Northwind!

You know, I always just assumed that 'Hekki' was a reference to the Knights who say Kni and their eternal quest for shrubbery. Go figure.....

Okay, I'm already jealous. I've wanted to try out chinese martial arts since, well, ever and I really want to learn mahjong. Do you have any good online resources for me? Wikipedia is fine and all but... meh. I'd rather ask an expert. :D

Well, that's just not true. I never verbalized it, but that one I did guess as well. :p

Anyway, welcome Northwind!

As LadyC said, there's no real additional requirements past signing up here. (Except for the occasional blood sacrifice. Don't worry about that.)
