Wildstar

Post by lostkangaroo » September 20th, 2012, 4:17 am

I have been following this game thru twitter for a while now and have re-watched several of the videos Team Wildstar has online. The dev teams mouth piece is non other then David Bass who you might remember from SWTOR before all of the layoffs happened a few months ago.

Here is the gameplay video that has been released from youtube.

To me if feels as if much of the design has alot of influence from SWTOR as the best I can tell many of the laid off staff from Bioware is behind this. I honestly believe this is the game they wanted to make free of controlling interests such as EA, and Lucasarts.

Either way its worth a look and is still well enough into the future that we can study and form a course of action towards it.

It looks cool...but its graphics put it really close to wow...wish it were a bit more gritty/realistic, worth watching for.

It is just me or did the gameplay seem......ridiculously easy? The mobs barely even moved, especially that mini-boss mob. They just friggin stood there.

After Multiplayer Minecraft, I don't see how I could go back to a normal MMO

Seriously Moltar, should you ever feel the urge to try MMO-ing again, give Vanguard a try. It's F2P now and the crafting is decently challenging, both in recipie complexity and the minigame strategy.
