I know Ghalone and Nibathy are both playing D3 right now too. I don't have their gamerIDs but if you hop on vent in the evenings I'm sure you'll see them on.

Question is Diablo much like version 2?
Alot of Action, a mix of classes, and just alot of loot and loot optimization?
I remember Diablo 2 had cut scenes that were impressive and a story line, but it really was all about left clicking and looting.

There is a story... pretty good so far.

BUT....to answer your question...yes. Diablo is all about the loot. You beat the game on normal... you up the difficulty and then go at it again to get the better loot.

They have 4 difficulty lvls and 2 game modes.

Levels are: Normal, Nightmare, Hell, Inferno

Modes: Softcore and Hardcore.

The only real diffrence in Softcore and hardcore is that when you die in hardcore...thats it.. your character is dead...everything in your inventory is gone and you have to reroll the character. ((The only thing that stays i believe is your stash and gold.))

My goal in game is to get all the 5 classes maxed out and finished with the inferno difficulty for both soft and hardcore modes... That way it feels less of a gear grind for nothing.
Too many games to count.

Shaddo!!! What's your battletag??

If anyone wants, I'll be on occasionally under MangoMike#1338. It's my dad's account, so if you send a tell and get no response it's probably him. :)

Cashews and Nadz (and soon Ups) will also be online with D3, and usually in vent also. Stop in and add them too!

I hope so too. It's a good and bad thing. Good as in I don't live there anymore. It was a home full of negativity and hypocrites. Bad news is, I don't have a place where I can go to sleep on a bed. I have $8 to my name right now because I gave them a check for $35 and they took it anyway even though they evicted me today. So I went to the back this morning to stop payment on it. I have to wait till this next Friday to get set up for a storage unit and get the rest of my things, if they don't sell it off. If they do, they are really going to get it. It's a good thing I'm friends with a 5 star lawyer :p

I also started a new thread for consolidating the battletags to make people easier to find.

On a completely unrelated topic.... I just recently discovered dyes. If you're like me you'll want this info! Did anyone buy the CE for D3? I was kinda wondering about the in-game items.

List of dyes and where to get them - http://www.diablowiki.net/Armor_Dye#Dye_List

And totally unrelated, but based on a conversation Netrok, Vivielle and I had last night about the banners:
A number of achievements can be designated as "showcase" achievements, which will display on a player's Banner, part of their Battle.net account profile.

I found this list of achievements here: http://www.diablowiki.net/Achievement_Guide

The fact that a game like Diablo, which is not a "social" game per say like an MMO knows enough to put dyes for armor at launch says something about the thought process at bioware.

Finally got to Nightmare level so I can play with you guys. Unless you don't want me to play with you. :( The only down side is that I'm limited to the day time since that is when I have access to a computer that can let me play D3
