if you buy 400 dollars worth of eGift cards, they give you 75 dollars for free. But you can't spend it in the same order.

So now I need to waste 75 dollars on the dell website.
Probably going to get a bag or something!

I would spend it on something worse then a bag I think. You should stick with the bag don't listen to me.... These are not the droids you are looking for.....

I tried to buy one of those neat swappable dell shells for the top, but they don't have many for 15" monitors, lol

Seems like a good deal to me:
15.6 LED Display
Intel Core i5-2450M Processor (2.4GHz,6MB Cache)
6 GB DDR SDRAM 1333 MHz
Integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000 with up to 1.6 GB Dynamic Video Memory
750 GB Sata
Windows 7 + Office

I paid 700 -800 for my desktop from Dell minus a monitor and the stats are comparable.
The desktop came with faster Processor 3.1 GHz as it wasn't mobile, a little more memory (8 GB) , and faster components (non-mobile again).
So long as it is functional and the scratch dent isn't horrendous seems all good.

it's no gaming laptop, but it will surf the web and play youtube just fine.

The only concerning part is the "No OS media".
I sincerely hope you already have a personal copy of Windows.

It comes with image disks instead of OS media.

Overall Moltie I'd say you done good son! And don't listen to Nib, it'll be just fine for games.
